A1c-Cellular Linearity is a 5-level assayed linearity material used to assess instrument accuracy and verify the reportable range of the Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) parameter. It is the only commercially available linearity/calibration verification material containing intact red blood cells. A1c-Cellular Linearity tests the entire HbA1c procedure, including the lysing of the red blood cell – a step omitted by competitive products. This important step ensures that the entire system, instrument and reagents, is working properly and providing accurate patient results. The ready-to-use liquid control mimics a patient sample and does not need to be reconstituted prior to use, reducing the potential for human error. A1c-Cellular Linearity is packaged in convenient cap-pierceable vials for autosampling by analyzer and the vials include barcodes for instruments capable of barcode scanning. A1c-Cellular Linearity is appropriate for immunoassay and ionic exchange HPLC methodologies and is assayed on the top HbA1c chemistry analyzers. Instruments not listed on the assay may also submit their data to receive a linearity-only report.
